Community Policing Presentation
Leg. Denenberg's guests, problem oreinted police officers from the 1st and 7th Precincts of the Nassau County Police Department (NCPD), provide a presentation on community policing and issues. The police will discuss staffing, drugs, crime, traffic enforcement, neighborhood and quality of life issues, problem oreinted policing and goals of law enforcement. Most of the meeting is reserved for questions and answers.

National Night Out
Legislator Denenberg, Freeport Mayor Hardwick, Village of Freeport Trustees, Police Commissioners Mulvey and Woodward, and the Nassau County and Freeport Police Departments host National Night Out at Cow Meadow Park in Freeport. More than 11,000 communities across the country observe the annual National Night Out celebration. The event includes food, entertainment, vendors, and information booths designed to raise awareness of crime, gang activity and violence and help communities form partnerships with law enforcement agencies.

The hurricane season is upon us. Learn appropriate preparations, precautions, security, insurance and protection for your family, pets, home and possessions. Leg. Denenberg's guest speakers include Mr. Gary Conte, Warning Coordination Meterologist for NOAA National Weather Center; James Callahan from the Nassau County Office Emergency Management; Mr. Theodore Fisch, Regional Director of the New York State Emergency Management Office; Mr. John Brooks, Nassau County Risk Management Office; and Ms. Nancy Lynch, President of Pet Safe Coalition. A question and answer session will follow.
